Petroleum Paste is a pliable brown primer made of petrolatum. It contains compounds that inhibit corrosion and displace moisture. This paste may be applied with a brush or by hand at room temperature. When used, it remains soft and does not crack, dry out, or become hard.
This paste is used primarily as a primer ahead of applying petrolatum tapes. By applying Petroleum Paste, existing rust will be penetrated to displace moisture, pacify the surface, and allow effective and efficient adhesion of tapes and mastic. By pacifying the surface, Petroleum Paste ensures that applications made subsequently will be effective and achieved with ease.

If you want to remove rust from a surface, you can use a wire-brush and then wipe it with rags to get the soil off.
In order to maintain the surface, regularly apply PETRO PASTE with your hands and make sure it is spread evenly at a range of 300-500g/m2.
If you need to apply the paste on a surface with a valve, flange or unevenness, PETRO PASTE can be used as a filler to get rid of any spaces that may appear when wrapping with tape.
Once you have overlapped the surface with PETRO PASTE for over 15 minutes (30-50%), make sure you level the tape by stroking it with your hands to avoid any joints that may appear according to the line of application.
If you need to use P.V.C OUTER TAPE, it is recommended when finishing a surface and there are various colors available to indicate the environmental situation.
